Shetland pony

Another image in Black & White – this time it is of the Shetland pony – a breed of pony originating in the Shetland Isles. Compared to the Exmoor ponies the Shetland brother are much more robust and compact in their body. They are very well suited for the rougher weather and colder climate up here in the north of UK. The shetland ponies are also known to be more natural and agressive between each other – on the first encounter we saw a male fight of kicking and biting!

I hope I will get some more images of these remarkable horses but we are set out for landscapes and as the weather clears up we should be able to get some of the amazing landscaped.

Enjoy the image.
